Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT
This is my small site dedicated to the Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT. I blog about quite a few items I have either bought or have been given. I then produce a review...some great, some downright Brutal! All items reviewed are for the UK, although most are available worldwide.
There's a review video at the bottom, which explains the Garmin Nuvi well.
But this little page is for the Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT which my dad can't stop blabbing about. He lives 350 miles from me and my family and uses it to get to me and even to get to his local supermarket!
He's always going on about me getting one, and I probably will after my Navman has packed up...(on its last legs, so maybe sooner than I think)
Anyway, Here is my (and my dads view) of the Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT.
First things first, it does everything you want it to do except drive you to your destination. It has a remarkably clear and bright screen with just about the right amount of colours without it looking like a Jackson Pollock.
It's a really good looking piece of kit with calm and smooth operations. The screen above shows what the Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT looks like when it's in split screen mode, especially useful when coming up to a tricky junction.
The bright coloured arrows show you which lane you should be in. This useful facility kicks in automatically a mile before you get to the dodgy junction.
The screen above shows it gives you plenty of timed plenty of warning when there a traffic problem on your route...mind you, when isn't there a traffic problem on your route?
This is a map of where the Garmin Nivu 2595LMT can reach; you'll notice it's a very strong player in most European Countries and even has some coverage in the furthest parts of Europe.
I remember having a SatNav about 6 years ago that only would accept the first 3 digits of the postcode...and I was impressed!

This is the best price I can find at the moment for the Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT
My dad bought it when it was £150, I think it's cheaper than that now.
Below is a really good review video, although it's Australian, it all applies to the UK Garmin Nuvi just the same. I looked for a good UK video review, but they weren't nearly as good as this.
So, there you have it...a top notch Sat Nav at a very good price!
Here's another review from the Savvy Traveller on Amazon:
"I have had various flavours of Garmins over the years, but this one is exceptional. The first thing that stands out is the big screen. It is large enough to be seen even when the mounting position requires it to be further away than optimal. But beyond that, the latest software with this unit was far superior to anything I have seen in a Garmin to date. One of my pet peeves was always the lack of a QRTY style keyboard, and now I have it in this unit. Everything seemed more up to date and informative on this unit than any I have seen before. I had no problems finding a good mounting position in each of the cars I used on my recent trip, and changing the base maps from France to UK to Ireland was no problem at all. The mount was good, and the overall unit had a solid feel. With a Sat Nav this strong, one really has to wonder about spending the extra cash on a built-in version, especially at a time when the units being provided by the auto companies have less capability and are harder to use."
